Huntington Woods, MI is NOT a 'small town'. It is part of the Detroit area. The reason the population is so small is because it's 1: Very small square miles-wise, and 2: Also contains the Detroit Zoo. This is VERY common in the detroit area, there are several "towns" that are literally just one or two square miles of land surrounded by city. You could literally WALK to Detroit from Huntington Woods in less than 3 hours.
